Places To Visit in Las Vegas by Amnon Cohen

The Las Vegas is a wonderful city to visit, if you are planning for a vacation to spend in the U.S. The charming city is located in the U.S state of Nevada.

There are plenty of things to visit in the city ranging from Casino hotels to strip, museums, and night clubs. One can enjoy their vacation completely without wasting even a minute.

The best time to drop by is during spring and winter. Don’t try to visit during summer because the heat may be in three digits. Off-season for Vegas is after major holidays and especially in the middle of summer. Even the spring after Spring Break is a good time.

Casino hotels:
The casino hotels are located mainly in the downtown area of the city and it is also called as Nevada gaming area. The Las Vegas Monorail connects different casinos on the Strip and with a planned extension to Las Vegas International Airport.

Las Vegas strip:
When the sun goes down and darkness falls, the Las Vegas Strip starts heating up. Las Vegas night clubs are there for you to entertain the whole night. You can dance a little or drink after a dinner or can have a party the whole night.

You can do whatever you wish and the choice is yours. The clubs have a dress code and cover charge. In general, most clubs have a 'casual chic' dress code that prohibits sneakers, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, and athletic jerseys. If you wear shoes and try to look stylish, you should meet their entrance requirements.

Museums:
The city is home to several museums including the Neon Museum, The Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Lied Discovery Children's Museum National Atomic Testing Museum, and the Old Las Vegas Mormon State Historic Park.

National park:
Las Vegas is within a few hours drive of some of the most uniquely beautiful national parks in the United States. Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park are adjacent to each other across the California border from Las Vegas. They contain earth's most massive trees, giant sequoias so huge they far surpass the size of any other species.

The Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park, also known as the Las Vegas Zoo, exhibits over 150 species of animals and plants.

Las Vegas Valley:
The Vegas Valley is a metropolitan area located in the southern part of the U.S. state of Nevada, and is the heart of the Las Vegas–Paradise, NV MSA also known as the Las Vegas–Paradise–Henderson MSA. The valley is home to the three largest incorporated cities in Nevada: Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas.

The six unincorporated towns in the valley make up Las Vegas Township which is the largest community in the state of Nevada. A bus rapid transit (BRTS) link in Las Vegas called the Strip & Downtown Express with limited stops and frequent service connects Downtown Las Vegas, the Strip, the Las Vegas Convention Center, and Town Square.
